2021 Chinese Government Sino-US Scholarship
Recruiting Brochure for Students Obtaining Undergraduate/ Graduate Degrees
The Chinese Government Scholarship is a Sino-US full scholarship established by the Chinese government. The scholarship is approved by China Education Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges. Tianjin Foreign Studies University can recruit full-time American graduate and undergraduate students under this scholarship. Applicants can apply directly to Tianjin Foreign Studies University. TFSU will check the application materials and admit the applicants after the approval from Chinese Scholarship Council.

Application Procedure
1. Students make an application to our university.
2.Complete the online application procedure at CGS Information Management System for International Students (Visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org and click “Application Online” to log in), submit online the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship, and print a hard copy. While completing the information, for the scholarship Category option, put:Chinese Government Scholarship and Type B. Agency number: 10068(Tianjin Foreign Studies University);Address of the applicant must be in English.
3.Send your application documents to the following email before deadline.

Application Requirement
American Citizen, college graduates of similar major; under 35 years of age and in good health
Materials Required for Application
Applicants must fill out and mail in the following materials (in duplicate):
（1）Application Form for the Chinese Government Scholarship（in Chinese or English）（A passport-sized photo attached to each signed form, Forms without signatures are invalid.）
（2）A photocopy of the applicant’s highest notarized degree
Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
（3）Academic transcripts of the highest degree received. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
Transcripts must be the original copies (not photocopies).
（4）Study Plan
Applicants must write out their study plan in detail (either in Chinese or English, no less than 800 words).
（5）Two recommendation letters from professors. No less than 800 words.
（6）Physical Examination Record for Foreigner(photocopy)
The Record can be downloaded atwww.campuschina.organd shall be filled out in English. Applicants must fully carry out all steps of the Foreigner Physical Exam. Forms without the applicant’s pictures, stamps of the hospital, or the signature of the physician are invalid. A seal needs to be on the picture and the form at the same time.
Test results are valid for 6 months, so applicants must time the physical so that upon arriving in China, the results are still valid. Admitted applicants must bring to Tianjin all original results of the physical exam in order to extend their visa.

None of these papers will be returned to the applicant, whether they are accepted or not.

Interviews or online Interviews will be set up for applicants of different majors.
Scholarship terms and conditions
Students accepted for the scholarship must abide by Chinese law and university regulations, study hard, and finish their studies on time and with good grades. If their grades or attendance rate are below the requirements, their scholarship may be suspended or terminated.
