I General Introduction
Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU), one of China’s eight foremost higher education institutions specializing in foreign languages, is a multi-disciplinary university with “Foreign Language & Literature” as the predominant discipline. The program of ‘Story China’ is an online exchange program. Our university has successfully completed the 2021 ‘Chinese Bridge - Exploring Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH)’ online exchange program, attracting more than 160 students from 25 countries to participate and achieving good results. The program was also reported by People’s Daily Online and China Daily Online. After the program, many students expressed their hope that they would have the opportunity to participate in the ‘Chinese Bridge’ program we organized again.
The theme of this program is ‘Story China’, which aims to achieve a deep integration of language learning and cultural experience, allowing overseas Chinese lovers to learn Chinese in stories, rich in traditional Chinese culture, and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. Some real-world content is also added to the course, through online experience, to introduce to the students contemporary China and the development of Tianjin city, and lead everyone to feel the Chinese people’s clothing, food, housing and transportation today. In this way, we will also show a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of China by telling good stories about China’s current development.
The program lasts for 2 weeks, with 45 minutes of live language lessons and 20 minutes of cultural recorded lessons every day.
The program is free of charge and a Certificate of Study will be issued at the end of it.

II Program Contents
1. Learn Chinese: study Chinese with experienced Chinese language teachers;
2. Understand Chinese traditional culture: learn stories rich in Chinese traditional culture through special lectures;
3. Experience the clothing, food, housing and transportation of Chinese people: experience the development of Tianjin city in the form of cloud tour video, and understand the current Chinese people’s clothing, food, housing and transportation;
4. Communication and Interaction: online discussion with Chinese students.
III Program Forms
This online program will be carried out online, indoors and outdoors, combining real-time language teaching and online activities.

January 1,2022 - January 12, 2022 (UTC+8, the exact class time is determined according to the enrollment situation)
V Who can apply
Students from 9 Confucius Institutes co-hosted by Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Students from universities which have friendly communication with Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Other overseas people who are interested in Chinese language and culture. There is no limit to age and education.
