Tianjin Government Scholarship 2021

In order to promote the development of higher education of International students in Tianjin, to further improve the talent cultivation, scientific research, social service, and cultural exchange, Tianjin Municipal Government has set up the scholarship for international students.

Scholarship category

For international students pursuing undergraduate, master anddoctoralprograms.

What the scholarship includes？

Tuition fee for the first year.

When to apply?

March to June 20.

Eligibility

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens applying to pursue undergraduate, master and doctoral programs at Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Applicants for undergraduate programs must have senor high school diploma and be under the age of 30. Applicants for master programs must have a bachelor degree and be under the age of 35. Applicants for doctoral programs must have a master degree and be under the age of 40.

2. Applicants should meet the entrance language requirements of the higher education institutions. Those who apply for bachelor’s degree should reach HSK4, who apply for master’s degree should reach HSK5 and who apply for doctoral degree should reach HSK6. For those who apply for English-taught programs should provide according English proficiency certificates required by different programs.

3. Applicants have not obtained any other scholarship in the same year.

Application procedure

1. Applicants need to register and apply at our online application system. Fill out all the required information and upload the documents. (http://tfsu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx)

When applying, please make sure to choose “Tianjin Government Scholarship”. Applicants need to contact the International Admission Office for entrance exams or interviews. Please make sure to leave your Wechat account.

The school mail the visa application documents (Admission notice and Jw202 form) to those who win the scholarship.

Application documents

1. A photocopy of passport

2. A photocopy of the applicant’s highest notarized degree.

Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by the current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

3. Academic transcripts of the highest degree received. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. Two recommendation letters in Chinese or English from professors. (Needed for master and doctoral program applicants.)

5. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (photocopy)

6. HSK certificate (Or applicants with the required Chinese proficiency levels approved in the tests or interviews.)

Majors

Evaluation

Based on the principle of "openness, justice, fairness, and merit-based”, our school will set up a specific review group to do scholarship evaluation and nominate list of scholarship candidates. After the President’s Office Meeting, nominees will be determined for publicity for a week. Tianjin Education Committee has the final review for the selected list.

Others

1. Incomplete or unqualified applications will not be processed.

2. Applicants will be disqualified in terms of fraudulent application materials or non-personal submission once verified.

3. Scholarship winners who cannot register on time due to special cases must inform the school of the reasons within 15 days before registration. The scholarship will be cancelled if one fails to register without reasons.

4. Scholarship will be cancelled if applicants fail to register on time, get a disqualified physical examination, drop out of school, or leave from school.
